Welcome to Calderglen Country Park
Calderglen Country Park is a hugely important asset for South Lanarkshire. With nearly one million visitors annually, the Park already plays a vital role in the health, wellbeing, and cultural life of South Lanarkshire’s residents and visitors. South Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture are keen to secure and protect the Park’s infrastructure, facilities, and landscape and plan to pursue significant investment opportunities to meet the needs and expectation of Park users and local communities.
The Master planning which has been underway since 2024 presents a once in a generation opportunity to secure Calderglen’s future as a dynamic, inclusive, and resilient destination. Calderglen Country Park will continue to serve as a cornerstone of South Lanarkshire’s green infrastructure network, supporting the Council’s wider ambitions for climate action, community wealth building, and cultural regeneration. The Masterplan’s proposals are designed to deliver long-term public benefit.
